As a researcher, my main activity is oriented towards the valorisation (or reuse) of industrial by-products and waste in the field of civil engineering. The research strategy includes the characterization of secondary or alternative resources, the design of new building materials, development of tools for predicting the mechanical, experimentation at the field scale and finnally life cycle analysis of designed materials. At the design stage of new materials with by products, artificial intelligence methods are used to cover the lack of traditional methods.
